Education is a Basic need: Period
We Work towards having every child get the education they need.
Education and Play
We recognize the role of play in enhancing learning for children especially in their young years. As an organization, we are running a project on equipping young people with skills of collaboration, team work, critical thinking through cricket. Girls with and without disability, and boys in school are trained to play cricket which sport has played a pivotal role in enhancing their physical, cognitive and holistic development.


Global Citizenship Education
The world is a global village and Tujifunze Africa understands this reality that is why it is integrating Global Citizenship Education in its programming. Global Citizenship Education equips young people with skills to develop the core competencies which enables them to actively and meaningfully engage with the world, and help to make it a more inclusive, just and sustainable one.


Inclusive Education
The organization is supporting children and youth with disabilities in Uganda to enroll, stay in school and complete through its scholarship programme. Many children in Uganda especially girls with disabilities are not able to access education due to factors not limited to poverty, lack of assistive devices, stigma to mention but a few.
Through fundraising and collaboration, we have been able to support children with disability with assistive technology; wheel chairs, hearing aids to enable them access school and learn effectively. Tujifunze Africa Foundation will continue to advocate for the right to inclusive education for every child and work towards Leaving No One Behind.


Gender Transformative Education
Tujifunze Africa Foundation works with different stakeholders namely; religious and cultural institutions, men, boys and girls, Ministry of Gender, Civil Society Organizations, police and community in challenging harmful gender practices, norms and stereotypes that affect girls’ and women's access to quality, inclusive education at all levels of education. We are partnering with Girls Not Brides Uganda and other Civil Society to fight child marriage, Female Genital Mutilation, School Related Gender Based Violence that impede girls from developing to their full potential.


Advocating for better Education
Education shapes attitudes, behaviors ,practices, values and belief system.
Education for Sustainable Development
Education is more than acquiring knowledge in class. Education shapes attitudes, behaviors ,practices, values and belief system. This is why Education for Sustainable Development is relevant in empowering learners to assume responsibility for a better future as leaders in the world of life and work.
