Access to quality education is a human right. However in most communities in Uganda, girls that are pregnant or have given birth are not able to return to school and continue learning due to a lack of school fees, scholastic materials, stigma directed to wards them by parents, peers, teachers and the community. In addition, girls with disabilities are unable to access education and stay in school due to disability stigma, limited access to special needs schools, assistive technology,  etc.

Our sponsorship program focuses on supporting girls that are pregnant, child mothers and girls with disabilities to access quality inclusive education, stay in school and complete.

Tujifunze staff  conducted home visits to  families of girls that are pregnant and child mothers in  Balawoli town council, Kamuli district to identify their educational needs and offer necessary support.
